How we work

A process built around your success

Seven structured phases that turn your idea into a production-ready product - with full visibility at every step.

Step 1

Discovery

The Discovery phase is the foundation of every successful project. We begin with a series of stakeholder workshops to align on business objectives, success metrics, and constraints. Our team conducts user research and competitive landscape analysis to understand where your product fits in the market. We document all findings in a Project Brief that captures the vision, target audience, key user journeys, and technical boundaries. Nothing moves forward until every stakeholder agrees on what we are building and why - this alignment is the single biggest predictor of project success.

Activities

  • Stakeholder interviews and workshops
  • Business goals and KPI definition
  • User research and persona development
  • Competitive analysis and market positioning
  • Technical feasibility assessment
  • Risk identification and mitigation planning

Deliverables

  • Project Brief and scope document
  • User personas and journey maps
  • Competitive analysis report
  • Technical feasibility report
  • Aligned project goals and success metrics
Step 2

Planning

Planning transforms discovery insights into an actionable roadmap. We break the project into clearly scoped epics and user stories, assign story-point estimates, and map everything into a timeline with defined milestones and delivery checkpoints. Our architects select the technology stack, define the system architecture, and create an infrastructure plan covering hosting, security, and scalability. We establish communication protocols, sprint cadences, and escalation paths so every stakeholder knows exactly how the project will run. A detailed project plan reduces surprises and ensures we deliver on time and within budget.

Activities

  • Requirements gathering and user story writing
  • Technical architecture design
  • Technology stack selection
  • Sprint planning and milestone mapping
  • Resource allocation and team assembly
  • Communication and reporting cadence setup

Deliverables

  • Detailed project plan and roadmap
  • System architecture diagram
  • Technology stack documentation
  • Sprint schedule and milestone calendar
  • Resource plan and team RACI matrix
Step 3

Design

The Design phase converts planned features into tangible, validated experiences. We start with low-fidelity wireframes to confirm information architecture and navigation flows, then progress to high-fidelity Figma mockups with full brand application, typography, and component specifications. Each screen is reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. We conduct moderated usability testing sessions with target users and iterate based on findings before handing off to development. A robust design system - with tokens for color, typography, spacing, and reusable components - ensures consistency at scale and accelerates front-end development.

Activities

  • Information architecture and user flow mapping
  • Wireframing and low-fidelity prototyping
  • High-fidelity UI design in Figma
  • Design system and component library creation
  • Accessibility review (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Usability testing and design iteration

Deliverables

  • User flow diagrams
  • Wireframes (all key screens)
  • High-fidelity Figma designs (all screens)
  • Design system and component library
  • Annotated developer handoff files
  • Usability test report
Step 4

Development

Development proceeds in structured two-week agile sprints. Each sprint begins with a planning session where the team commits to a set of user stories from the prioritized backlog. Developers follow strict coding standards, conduct peer code reviews on every pull request, and write automated tests (unit, integration, and E2E) alongside feature code. We maintain a staging environment that mirrors production so that every sprint deliverable can be reviewed in a real context. Security practices are embedded throughout - OWASP Top 10 mitigations, secrets management, and least-privilege infrastructure access are non-negotiable standards on every project. Sprint demos give stakeholders visibility and the ability to provide feedback before the next cycle begins.

Activities

  • Agile sprint planning and backlog grooming
  • Feature development with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
  • Peer code review on all pull requests
  • Automated unit, integration, and E2E test writing
  • Security hardening (OWASP, secrets management)
  • Sprint demos and stakeholder reviews

Deliverables

  • Working, tested software at end of each sprint
  • Codebase in a Git repository (with full history)
  • Automated test suite
  • Sprint demo recordings
  • Updated project backlog and velocity reports
Step 5

Testing

Our dedicated QA process runs in parallel with development and intensifies before each release. The QA team executes structured test plans covering functional acceptance criteria, cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, performance benchmarks, and accessibility audits. We conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to surface security issues before they reach production. Load and stress tests validate that the system handles peak traffic gracefully. Every defect is logged in a tracking system, triaged by severity, and resolved before sign-off. Nothing is released to production until it passes our quality gate - including a Lighthouse score review for web projects.

Activities

  • Functional QA against acceptance criteria
  • Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing
  • Performance and Lighthouse auditing
  • Accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Security vulnerability and penetration testing
  • Load and stress testing

Deliverables

  • QA test plan and test cases
  • Bug report and defect log
  • Performance benchmark report
  • Accessibility audit report
  • Security assessment report
  • Signed-off release candidate
Step 6

Deployment

Production deployments at Quantum follow a strict launch checklist. We configure automated CI/CD pipelines that run the full test suite and security scans on every commit before any code reaches production. Infrastructure is provisioned as code using Terraform, ensuring reproducibility and auditability. We perform database migrations in controlled, reversible steps and maintain a rollback procedure for every release. On launch day, the full team is available to monitor error rates, latency, and business KPIs in real time through Datadog dashboards. We conduct a post-launch review at 24 hours and 7 days to confirm stability and capture learnings for the next cycle.

Activities

  • CI/CD pipeline configuration and validation
  • Infrastructure provisioning (IaC with Terraform)
  • Database migration execution and validation
  • DNS cutover and SSL/TLS configuration
  • Real-time monitoring and alerting setup
  • Post-launch review at 24h and 7 days

Deliverables

  • Production deployment and live application
  • CI/CD pipeline documentation
  • Infrastructure-as-code repository
  • Monitoring dashboard and alerting rules
  • Rollback procedure document
  • Post-launch stability report
Step 7
